Meet Gary the Designer, Consultant & Potter
As a Digital Product Designer at Exizent, Gary plays a key role in shaping intuitive and impactful user experiences. He collaborates with cross-functional teams to design and refine digital solutions that streamline estate administration processes, ensuring efficiency and ease for professionals and families navigating legal complexities. He has been leading user research studies that inform and shape design, while also facilitating workshops with the wider team and key stakeholders at clients to drive alignment and innovation. His expertise in UX and human-centred design ensures accessible, meaningful solutions.
Previously at CTC Pensions Technology, he empowered users through open-minded, solution-focused approaches to overcoming design challenges. His time was divided between UX consultancy—working with major clients in the pension and investment industries—and digital product management, where he designed and oversaw product strategy and roadmaps. These roles allowed him to collaborate across multiple teams, driving innovation and improving user experience.
His educational and professional experience in digital and physical UX design has helped him develop an adaptable and diverse range of skills. He marries user research with business needs to create platforms that prioritize accessibility and seamless user interactions throughout the holistic platform and service experience.
Beyond digital design, Gary has embraced pottery as a hands-on creative outlet, crafting mugs and vases since taking up the art last year. This tactile craft has deepened his appreciation for form, function, and the connection between design and human interaction—values that translate seamlessly into his approach to UX.
Prior to CTC, he developed his design foundations at the University of Strathclyde. He later deepened his understanding of user behaviours and design processes through an MA in Industrial Design at Loughborough Design School.
Through his work, Gary remains dedicated to shaping digital experiences that simplify complex processes, empower users, and drive meaningful change. His passion for thoughtful, human-centred design continues to push boundaries, ensuring technology works seamlessly for the people who rely on it.
